myPlan Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
myPlan helps small-business owners see their cash forecast and answers questions about their finances. This policy explains what we collect, why, who handles it, and how you can delete it. It covers the myPlan website and the myPlan iOS app.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, your name if you give it, and a password hash if you sign in with a password. If you use Sign in with Apple or a one-time email link, we receive only what those sign-in methods provide.
- Business details: the business name, country, currency and industry you enter, and settings such as your minimum cash buffer and any credit limits.
- Accounting data you connect or upload: from QuickBooks Online or Xero (read-only access), or from spreadsheets you import. This is invoices, bills, payments, bank transactions, contacts (customer and supplier names), accounts and bank balances. We cannot create, change or pay anything in your accounting system.
- What you ask: the questions you type into Ask myPlan, the answers, and the figures used to build them.
- Technical data: logs of requests (time, route, status) and error reports, used to run and secure the service.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking.
How we use it
- To build your cash forecast, raise cash alerts and suggest next steps.
- To answer your questions in Ask myPlan.
- To sign you in, keep your account secure and prevent abuse.
- To email you sign-in links and service messages.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who handles it for us
| Provider | What for | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting, database, email delivery | All data above, stored in the AWS Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region and encrypted |
| Anthropic | The AI model behind Ask myPlan | Your question and the figures and names from your books needed to answer it. Not sent unless you use Ask myPlan. Anthropic does not train its models on API inputs under its commercial terms |
| Intuit (QuickBooks) and Xero | Reading your accounting data when you connect them | The authorisation you grant. We store the access token encrypted and never show it |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution | What Apple provides when you choose to sign in with it |
We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
How it is protected
- Each business's data is isolated at the database level, so one customer's account cannot read another's.
- Data is encrypted in transit. Connection tokens to QuickBooks and Xero are stored encrypted.
- Ask myPlan can only read your data. It cannot send, pay, chase or change anything. Every number it states is checked against your books before it is shown.
How long we keep it, and how to delete it
- Export: a business owner can download everything we hold for the business from Settings.
- Delete your business: Settings, "Delete this business" permanently removes its books, forecasts, alerts, conversations and connections.
- Delete your account: Settings, "Delete my account" removes your sign-in. (Delete any business you own first.)
- Disconnect: you can disconnect QuickBooks or Xero at any time, and revoke myPlan's access from within Intuit or Xero.
- Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before it is overwritten.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict some processing. Most of this you can do yourself in Settings. For anything else, write to us at the address below.
Children
myPlan is for business use and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
